Torsion Testers
Instron torsion testers, or twist testers, are used to determine the torsional properties of
various components – from
fasteners to
biomedical devices. Our torsion testing line includes models for standard twist testing as well as multi-axis testing (e.g. axial/torsion.) Torsion testers are ideal for simulating real life service conditions and checking product quality.

The MT Low-Capacity Torsion Testing Systems are based on a dual linear slide design offering high-torsional stiffness and low-axial friction. With capacities of 22 Nm (200 in-lb) and 220 Nm (2,000 in-lb), and test speeds of 60 RPM and 120 RPM, these tabletop frames are ideal for testing materials with biomedical, automotive, and aerospace applications.

The MT Medium-Capacity Torsion Testing Systems consist of a torsion reaction frame with high rotational stiffness. With capacities ranging from 565 - 5,650 Nm (5,000-50,000 in-lb) and a horizontal opening of 760 mm (30 in), these tabletop frames come standard with an interlocked chuck guard and are ideal for testing materials with biomedical, automotive, and aerospace applications.
